Common Grid Model

Common Grid Model

In the context of the provision of a secure transmission network in the Pan-European level this service aims at the establishment of the Common Grid Model (CGM) considering the best forecasts of generation, consumption, net positions, network topology and is constituted by the Individual Grid Models (IGMs). The Selene-CC is responsible in the South East Europe (SEE) Capacity Calculation Region (CCR) for merging all IGMs and for the 24 timestamps of the Day (D), which are delivered by TSOs of the Continental Europe (CE), into one single Common Grid Model. Moreover, it is the basis for the services of RSC like capacity calculation, operational security of the transmission network and outage coordination. The supported time horizons are two days ahead (D-2), day ahead (D-1) and Intraday.

The CGM is in accordance with the CACM Regulation, the Network Code on Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA Regulation) and Network Code on System Operation (System Operation Guideline - SOGL).
