Transition to RCC: An important day for Electricity System Security in Europe

According to the Clean Energy Package, as of today, July 1st, the Regional Security Coordinators (RCSs), are transformed to Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) with the mission to further strengthen the regional coordination of TSOs in Europe under a specific institution at framework.

The new entities (RCCs) will continue to support TSOs with the services performed so far while 11 additional services will be gradually inserted under the new structure.

This evolution turns the 1st of July 2022 into a special landmark in the ongoing procedure to develop an integrated market in Europe while keeping security of the system.

SEleNe CC is the major player for regional security in SE Europe. In close collaboration with the other RCCs in continental Europe (CORESO & TSCNet), SEleNe CC aims to be at the forefront to build and deliver the relevant services to TSOs of SE Europe and facilitate them in preserving security of power system in the challenging days to come.
