Headquartered in Thessaloniki, SEleNe CC is one of the five Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) across Europe and plays a pivotal role in supporting power Transmission System Operators (TSOs). Job Description
Are you passionate about strengthening Europe’s electricity grid? Do you see yourself making a real impact on maintaining grid stability while helping optimize critical resources?
We are looking for a motivated power systems analyst to join our Operational Business Department. In this role, you will carry out tasks related to the electricity grid of the South-East European region, specifically, the creation of grid models, coordinated security analysis, cross-border capacity calculations and outage coordination, by following daily processes and using provided tools. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in power systems and electricity markets, within a European operational environment.
Key responsibilities
• Deliver SEleNe CC core services to the TSOs. Services are delivered in shifts, supporting near real-time operation
• Review shift results and provide operational support to the TSOs
• Support daily operational activities, develop technical expertise, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation
• Participate in Pan-European working groups and task forces
• Maintain regular communication with TSOs of the region and other European RCCs to assess any operational needs and support the resolution of operational issues
Stakeholder Interaction
• Support communication with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), vendors, and other stakeholders
• Participate in meetings and assist in preparing relevant materials
Qualifications / Skills
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, Energy Economics or similar
• Open both to recent graduates and mid-level professionals with 2-5 years of experience in power systems and energy markets
• Background or strong interest in power systems operation and transmission networks
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (all internal and external communication is conducted in English)
• Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment
Preferred:
• Experience with power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerFactory, CGMES-based tools or similar) is considered an advantage
• Previous experience in RCC, TSO, DSO industry or energy market environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
