Headquartered in Thessaloniki, SEleNe-CC is one of the five Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) across Europe and plays a pivotal role in supporting power transmission system operators (TSOs). Our dedicated team provides integrated services to ensure the operational security of networks across Southeast Europe.

Role Overview:

SEleNe CC is seeking a highly motivated IT Support Engineer to join its technical team in Thessaloniki. The role combines 1st and 2nd level end-user support, Windows and Linux server management, basic networking, and the automation of daily tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support to end-users (remote and on-site)

  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365

  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, switches)

  • Install, configure, and maintain systems including computers, printers, and VoIP systems

  • Automate repetitive daily operational tasks to improve efficiency

  • Support implementation of SEleNe CC’s solutions, alerting systems, including backup, and cybersecurity tools

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve incidents, track issues through ticketing systems, and ensure compliance with SLAs

 

Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in IT support or system administration

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and server administration

  • Knowledge of Linux environments

  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, VPN, firewalls)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset

  • Good command of English (spoken and written)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Cisco CCNA)

  • Experience in a TAC/NOC environment (ticketing systems, remote tools, monitoring, SLA tracking)

  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management principles
