IT Infrastructure Specialist

Headquartered in Thessaloniki, SEleNe CC is one of the five Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) across Europe and plays a pivotal role in supporting power Transmission System Operators (TSOs). Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical systems and services.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows and Linux servers.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, or similar).
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches and firewalls.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and related services.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Manage storage systems, server hardware, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications / Skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). The official working language of SEleNe-CC is English.
Preferred:
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud technologies.
- Certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or CompTIA.
- Knowledge of monitoring, security, and endpoint management solutions.
- Experience with IT documentation and asset management platforms.
